Golden Butte Hospitality Inc. ("Golden Butte", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and, where it applies to you, Quebec's Law 25.
Information we collect
- Booking and enquiry details: your name, email address, phone number, preferred dates and the message you send us.
- Stay information: details needed to provide your room, dining, event or other services.
- Website information: basic information about how you use our website, collected through cookies only where you have given consent.
Why we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, manage your booking, provide our services, meet our legal obligations, and — only with your consent — to send you offers by email. We collect information directly from you and use it only for the purposes described here.
Consent and your choices
We ask for your consent before sending marketing email, in line with CASL. The marketing option on our forms is switched off by default. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. Where Quebec's Law 25 applies to you, you also have the right to ask us to delete your information and the right to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Sharing and cross-border transfers
We share your information only with service providers who help us run our hotel and website, and only as needed. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected.
Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable physical, organisational and technical safeguards to protect your information. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, or as required by law, and then securely dispose of it.
